Melanistic green tree pythons are being bred for more and more black.  The colors are truly stunning.  Below are a few of the animals we are working with.

Male ID# 05188

Captive bred at our facility 8 September 2005.

Dam: 00069     Sire: 02152

This male was the result of crossing one of our TW blue line males (Mr. Blue x Carolina) with one of our PNG line females.  We hope to be pairing him up in the spring of 2008.

This male was paired with a female (Shade) owned by Chris Haight in spring of 2008.  She produced a clutch of 13 eggs and they are expected to hatch around the first of May.  This clutch began hatching on 29 April 2008.  Click here to see images of the neonates.

In 2009 we entered into another project with Chris Haight.  This time pairing him to a female named Smurffette from the Walsh & Holland "Mr. Blue x Carolina" clutch.  This 2009 pairing represents one of the highest concentrations of blue genetics to date.   Here is the pedigree for the pairing.

We also paired this male with one of our mixed heritage females, ID# 00111, in 2009.  Unfortunately only one offspring survived.  Click here to see images of the female and the neo.

This male is being bred to a couple females in 2010.  One is an undocumented TW blue line female on loan from Kevin Kopf and the other is one of our 2005 offspring (sibling to Super Man and 05079) from Blue Max.

Female ID# 06021

Produced by Phil Colclough in 2006 from a very dark female bred with a typical mainland looking male.  Both parents originate from zoo bloodlines.

Dam                       Sire

Below are some earlier images of her.

Female ID# 05022

Dam: Shade     Sire: 05188

This girl was produced as part of a breeding loan with Chris Haight.  Unfortunately the dam (Shade) didn't survive long after laying her clutch but she has six surviving offspring.  Hopefully they will contribute nicely to the future of melanistic (high black) green tree pythons.  Click here to see some of her siblings.
