Prepayment is required with all orders. We now welcome your credit card purchases as well as cash, money orders, personal and bank checks. Personal checks must clear before the animals can be shipped. Please contact us by phone to be sure the animal(s) you are interested in is still available before sending any money.
Tennessee residents must add 9.25% sales tax to all purchases.
We guarantee live arrival when temperatures are between 40 - 90 degrees F along the entire shipping route. Packages should be picked up within 3 hours of arrival. Be sure to inspect the animal at the cargo office. If a problem exists file a claim with the carrier and contact us immediately.
All of our animals are healthy and feeding at the time of shipment and should continue to thrive for you. If you have difficulty with feeding or suspect any health problems please contact us as soon as possible. We will do everything we can, within reason, to assist you. Veterinary health certificates can be included at your request but will incur additional charges. Charges will vary depending on the level of testing you request.
We recommend all new acquisitions to any collection be quarantined for a minimum of 30 days. Examinations by your own qualified reptile veterinarian is also advisable.
Once pairings for the upcoming season have been determined they will be posted on the Surplus page. At that time we will begin taking names for a waiting list. Names are added to the list on a first come first served basis. Being placed on a waiting list does not obligate you to a purchase. It simply provides you the opportunity of first refusal. Once hatchlings have begun feeding we will contact people on the waiting lists in the order they were received. If at that time you decide on a particular specimen we will request a deposit to hold the animal until it is suitable for shipment.
We do not accept deposits on animals that have not been produced. This allows you to change your mind and keeps us from having to refund deposits on animals we don't produce.
We prefer deposits of 20% of the invoice total and no less than $100.00 per specimen. Payment plans should be completed within 3 to 4 months. Any of the forms of payment mentioned above are welcome. We also offer convenient payment plans with monthly installments.
Initial deposits on recent hatchlings will be refunded in full if we cannot provide you with the animal agreed upon. If you change your mind on the purchase of animals that are "ready to ship" the deposit will be refunded at 90% within the first 30 days, 75% within the first 60 days and 50% within the first 90 days. Deposits and payment plans delinquent more than 90 days will be forfeited. We understand that emergencies do arise but please stay in contact with us and we will work with you as best we can. Deposit balances may be transferred to another available animal within one year of the date we receive your original deposit.
International orders are welcome but are subject to a $2,500.00 minimum order. CITES export permits issued by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service are required. A 50% non refundable deposit is required prior to beginning the application process. If for some reason we cannot obtain the export permits your deposit will be refunded. However, orders canceled during the application process or after export permits have been issued will not be refunded. The cost of CITES permits is $100.00. We will cover the cost of all export fees, including export permits, on orders over $4,000.00.
Unless otherwise specified all of our hatchling green tree pythons are unsexed. In an effort to avoid selling animals with kinked vertebrae we do not sex hatchlings. We will sex animals that are above 75 grams or approximately 8 to 10 months old. If you require accurately sexed animals it may be to your advantage to consider purchasing older sexed individuals.
